One of the most renowned and the oldest national parks in India, the Jim Corbett National Park is best known for the tigers' paradise. Established in the year 1936, the Corbett National Park in Nainital district of Uttarakhand is best known as the initiator of the Project Tiger in India to protect the most endangered species and the royal of India- the tigers.

Spreading across an area of 1288 sq km with the core areas of 521 sq km, the zone of Corbett Tiger Reserve is filled with variant flora and fauna species for an amazing wildlife experience to include the neighboring areas of Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary and reserve forest.

Corbett remains open for shooting the wildlife (not in the literal sense), especially the royal tigers during the period of 15th November to 15th June; with rest of the year being closed due to heavy downpours as a result of which the roads are just flushed away. Post-monsoon period is engaged in repair works and it is the month of November that the roads are back in their motorable condition
